WALLS, John Anderson
Country: US
State: poss Edgefield Co., SC
Date Submitted: February 9, 2005
Notes:
Depending on which census is believed, Anderson WALLS could have been born in 1822 or 1835 in South Carolina, probably Edgefield Co. He does not show up in the 1850 census anywhere in SC or GA, but in 1860 he was in Goshen PO, Lincoln Co., GA. In 1870 and 1880, he is in Edgefield Co. All of the census returns indicates he and his parents were born in SC. He married Augusta Ann Price, who was born and lived in Edgefield Co. Trying to determine when and where John Anderson WALLS died, where he and his wife are buried, and the names of his parents.

WARD, William Westmoreland
Country:
State: ALABAMA
Date Submitted: June 18, 2003
Notes:
Am seeking information on a William Westmoreland Ward born in ALABAMA, Huntsville area, about 1875ish. Mother's maiden name was Schrimsher or Scrimsher. I believe he was the only son and he had several sisters that were spinsters. He married Emma Tant of Union City ,Obion Co.,TN.in about 1898 or 1899. They had 4 daughters Ruth,Grace,Hazel and Elizabeth and a son Johnny Westmoreland Ward. The girls were born in Union City. William and infant Johnny died while in visiting Huntsville before 1910.We have no idea where they are buried, my understanding was they were buried in the Ward Family plot in Alabama. Emma was listed as a widow with 4 daughters in the 1910 US Census, dairy farming on Pidgeon Roost Rd. in Shelby County, Tennessee. Any information about this man and the his Ward family in Alabama would be appreciated. We have pictures of him and he seems to be a tall, dashing looking mustached rather handsome dark brown or black headed man with brown eyes [the first 3 daughters had his coloring and the 4th was a blue eyed blonde like Emma, their mother and ALL were very attractive]. The baby Johnny looks light headed but appears to be less than 6 months old in the picture we have. HELP!
