William Prentice was born a slave (?)cira 1833 in Montevallo (Shelby County)Alabama. He was married to Dollie(y)(Hadnot)Prentice (of Mississippi). He and his wife were the parents of: Laura, William Edna, and Isaac. Laura was the only child born in Mississippi. The rest were born in Alabama. William, the father worked as a blacksmith. His youngest son, Isaac, was my grandfather. Was William slave or free? When I can make this determination, it will help me in my research of his parents, siblings, and descendents. I am desperately trying to find his date of birh, place of birth, and when and where he died. I would appreciate any help received to help me in my quest to obtain information about my great grandfather.

I am looking for information about John Prescott. He
married Eliza Kohr. John was born in 1828 or
1829 in Pennsylvania and died in 1905 (also in PA - he
is buried in the Mt. Tunnel Cemetery in Elizabethtown, PA).
Eliza Kohr was born around 1842, it seems. John's father
was born in MA and his mother was born in PA, but I
don't know what their names are. John and Eliza's children
are: William Prescott (1866), John Prescott (1868), Alex Prescott
(1870), Edwin Prescott (1872), James Prescott (1874), Jacob Percy
Prescott (1878), Harry Prescott (1880), Lissia Prescott (1881/she
was a twin), Kate Prescott (1881/she was a twin), and Frank Prescott
(1885). There may have been other children.

born about 1880, parents, John and Sarah, sisters, Kate, Lulu, Carrie, brother Clayton. Children: Mary Ella, Dorothy, Myrtle,Irving. Married to Mary Elizabeth Ward. His wife Mary died in 1916 and is buried in Old Towne Burying Ground in Newburgh, NY. John died in mid 1960's and is buried some where in or near New Windsor, New York. Any help would be wonderful.

Moved to Oklahoma with his family between 1908 & 1910
His children were:
Albert Lee Presley b. 12 June 1890 Athens, McMinn, TN
James Franklin Presley b. 10 Dec 1895 Athens, McMinn, TN
Callie Presley b 5 July 1898 Athens, McMinn, TN
Henry Lee Presley b 12 Dec 1900, Athens, McMinn, TN ~~ My grandfather
Suzie Presley b 20 Mar 1904 Athens, McMinn, TN
King Presley b 8 April 1906 Athens, McMinn, TN
Cora Lee Presley b 8 April 1908 Athens, McMinn, TN
Leta Ruth Presley b 17 April 1910 Seminole, Oklahoma
Clifford Ellis Presley b 17 Feb 1912 Seminole, Oklahoma
James William Presley died in Seminole, Oklahoma 18 November 1941
A cousin has told me that his father was also James William Presley and may have been born in Knoxville.
I will appreciate any help in tearing down this big brick wall in my genealogical research.

Jessie Brooks Price was born March 19, 1873, in Newton or Pope Co. Ark. He Married a Louella Scrivner, She born Feb. 28, 1872, in Pittsborough, Miss. He died in Harrison, Ark. in the 1930`s. as did hid wife, both buried in Western Grove Ark. Children were Heral Price.
,b9-2-1900,Charles Burl Price,b 2-16-1902, Birtie Fae Price,b 5-17=1907, they had two sone Hurl and Rurl still born and a daughter Lou still born. All born in Weatern Grove. Ark. Jessie was a blacksmith in Clarksville and Harrison Ark, Where both passed. Chaels B. is buried in Clarksville, Ark. The other children are in Western Grove. Birtie Faem Fred William Duncan, she and Charles, and Freed all attended and graduated from Collage of the Ozarks, in Clarksvill, Ark. Charls had one son, living, I have one brother living.
Can not fine Jessie`s parents.

Looking for any info re: my Dad or any of his family. After a lifetime of wondering about them and trying to locate them (to no avail), we can only hope that someone reading this has the answers we have been looking for. According to the info on my birth certificate, he would be about 90 yrs. old and at the time of my birth in 1939, he was a mechanic. I was told that he remarried, had children and named a son Robert, which is also my name. We would love to locate my missing family and welcome them into our lives and hearts. Twelve yrs. ago, we were Blessed with the miracle of being reunited with my mom, sisters & brother after 33 yrs. of lost contact. Now if we could only find my dads family, the picture would be complete. If you have ANY info about Chester Prock or his family, please e-mail me. This is my grandfather, I never met him but he's buried in Meadowview, Virginia. He was married to Mary. I don't know if he was born in Tennessee or North Carolina. He was older when he had children with my grandmother. Their children's names were, Charles, (charlie), Nancy, Joseph, (joab), and my father George W. My grandmother was married before she married my grandfather to a man by the last name of Holbrook. They lived in Meadowview, Virginia also, as far as I know. I'm haveing a terrible time trying to find any of my ancesters, and I hope someone out there can help me. Thank you. anna
