I have seen a listing that includes my grandfather, Robert Andrew Purdy's name, but the date is 1824 which could possibly be my great grandfather. My grandpa was born in boone county missouri about 1859. He was married once and had 11 children whose names I have in the family bible but will not list here. My fater was born in 1921 in Kansas City Missouri and was named CR Purdy. He later changed it to Charles Robert Purdy Sr. I was born in 1954 in Belleville Illinois. I have two sons. One is Charles Robert III who now goes by Chad Purdy and lives in Belleville Illinois. My other son is Jason Andrew Purdy and lives in Arnold Missouri. I would very much like to be contacted by anyone who has any other family information. The purdys came out of Kentucky and I've heard conflicting reports as to them being either english or irish. I have confirmed through an elderly cousing that my grandfather inherited a castle in england but never claimed it.
