MYLER, George?
Country: Holland
State:
Date Submitted: October 8, 2005
Notes:
The 'Myler' family I am researching is believed to have migrated to the US from Holland. George? Myler (I or II) was believed to be b in IN, wife b in TN (her maiden name may have been Bell). His son George Washington was believed to be born in IA in @1851(Info from 1900 OK Fed. Census). However on the 1880 Fed. Census, George Washington says he was b. in OH. TN. Oral family HX by a daughter of George Washington Myler, says the family origin was known as 'Black Dutch.' There may have been a brother,'Charles or Charlie Myler,' who farmed in IA; may have been alive in 1920-30? Oral family HX says the Myler of IN? married twice. Children by the first marriage may have been Thomas, Henry, Charles, and children by the second marriage may have been Anna and Laurie (twins). The second wife was believed to have been a 'Ford.' Please help as research for this missing family link has gone on for years and years. Thanks.
