It is known that Israel, a peddler, was born on November 22, 1819, and came to the U.S. in 1841. In 1843, while traveling as a merchant, he became ill in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and exhausted his financial resources. However, because he had established good credit in New York, he was able to remain in Kalamazoo and open a store...M. Israel Dry Goods...a large variety store that Israel owned and operated there. Israel died of cancer of the liver in Kalamazoo on October 22, 1868, at age 48.

about either parent's past.My
mother was raised in orphanage
in Tenn,Blount county Industrial home,during Depression Era.She was a very
secretive person who died when
I was 15,she divorced in 1954
shortly before or after my birth,never saw family after
this date,my sisters refuse to
talk about either parent/older
by 9-10 yrs than myself.As I
mature find my life going full
circles,raising 5 kids and puter time,working knowledge of how to find info very limited on my behalf,appericiate any help
