HALVERSON, Carrie
Country: America
State: Norway
Date Submitted: August 16, 2004
Notes:
Hi: My Great Grandmother was Carrie Nettie Halverson and she was from Norway. She married Hans Peter Johnson and I do not know if they married in Norway or in Anerica.
Their son, my Grandfather Herman Ray Johnson was born November 12, 1889 in Stockholm, Wisconsin. (He married Victoria E. Malmberg, 1916 in Minneapolis, Minnesota).
It is written that shortly after his birth they moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I am not sure of the exact birth order of the children of Carrie Nettie "Halverson" and Hans Peter Johnson.
#2. Louise Martha Johnson Born: November 23, 1890 Place: Minneapolis, MN. Married: Laurence F. Mel- ander.
#3. William A. Johnson Born: May 2, 1893 Place: Minneapolis, MN. Married: Catherine ? Died: Mar. 12, 1961 Place: Minneapolis, MN.
#4. George C. Johnson only known information is that from the obituary of William A. Johnson that his brother Geroge C. of Elgin, Illinois survives.
#5. It is possible that there is also a Clarence Johnson but to date I have no information at all about him.
I sure would love to hear from cousins or family related to my Halverson and or Johnson ancestry. I would be so happy to share any information and photographs. Most Sincerely, Kathy (Johnson) Price

Rosannah Hamilton, born in Canada, probably Ontario between 1826-1841. Married Joseph Hayward, (marriage date unknown) born 1829 in Wiltshire, England. 14 children born to this union. Need help in verifying Rosannah's family, siblings, if any, and other pertinent information. Rosannah is found in the 1881 Canada census in Euphemia, Ontario. She states her age as 40. HAMMONS, Lewis Hartford
Country: USA
State: Missouri
Date Submitted: May 22, 2004
Notes:
GGgrandfather was Lewis (Louis) Hartford Hammons. In 1860 census he is in Cape Girardeau County, Randall Township, Missouri in household of his stepfather Preston Martin Collins with his mother Sarah and siblings which include a sister Euseba and a brother John E. He us listed as being 12 and born in MO. There is a marriage record for a Hartford Hammons to a Serena Polk (who is sister to the man Louis' sister married)in Polk Co., Madison Township, MO. There is a birth record of a John E. Hammons born to Serena (Polk) and Hartford Hammons 1869. There is also a marriage record for a Louis H. Hammons married to Anas Marthy Polk which may be a sibling to Serena. Louis is in the 1880 census for Ohio Co. Kentucky with his wife Margaret (Thomson) and their children along with a son from a previous marriage John E. age 11. I have found Louis listed as Louis, Lewis, Louis H., Hartford L., Dr. H.L., and Hartford. I have seen the last name spelled Hammon, Hammons, Hanmon, and Hammond. Also, the 1860 census listed his father as being born in Louisiana Territory and his mother in Illinois while the 1880 census listed both his parents as being born in MO. Euseba (his sister) is found in the 1880 census in Polk County, Madison Township with her husband William J. Polk and her father is listed as being born in Louisiana and her mother in Illinois. Any help would be appreciated.
